Robert lives in Queensland, Australia, with his wife Tina and their dog Harry.

He left the States in 1990 to work in New Zealand and moved to Australia in 1995.

"I work for a pay TV company called Austar. We serve regional Australia with Satellite TV. We have a cable system in Darwin. I came here as an ex-pat to help start up the company but I liked it so much I stayed after my contract expired two years ago. We live on the Gold Coast in Queensland. My wife Tina teaches writing (like fiction) at the local University."
